HCPC Registered Practitioner Psychologist & UKCP Registered CAT Psychotherapist

Hello, my name is Andrea. I am a HCPC Registered Practitioner Psychologist and UKCP Registered Psychotherapist in Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT).  I worked in the NHS for 20 years, more latterly in leadership roles, alongside developing my private practice which I have now been doing full time for 5 years. This has given me a wealth of experience in helping adults with a range of issues including depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, work related stress and loss.

People come to therapy for a range of reasons, and you don’t need to have a diagnosis or mental health problem to have CAT.  For example, you may need space to think about how you are caught up in repeating patterns of relating to yourself and others; you may have experienced a significant event in your life that you want to make sense of with someone else, or you may want to work on understanding yourself more.

By using CAT, we work together to understand your difficulties and what you would like to change.  We explore the ways you think, feel and act and how your experiences earlier in life underlie these. When we are working towards making changes to repeating patterns of relating, I draw on ideas and tools from other psychological approaches I have been trained in such as CFT and ACT.

Therapy can be 8, 16 or 24 sessions and sessions last 50 minutes.

If you would like to discuss how we might work together, please contact me for a free, no obligation 20-minute telephone consultation via email: .  If I am not the appropriate therapist to help you, I shall be happy to suggest alternative ways of getting help.
