I have over 30 years experience of Counselling and Therapy work. What is most important is that you feel safe. We can explore what is distressing you or issues in your life and relationships that are difficult or confusing and that you want to change. We can also look at your strengths and who you are becoming.I am kind and can also be challenging if you need that. Over the years I have acquired a number of ways of working that help in different situations with different people and surprisingly things can sometimes change more quickly than you expect. I am flexible with how often we need to meet depending on what you need.I am in my early 60’s now and have a great deal of therapy (as well as life!) experience. I have worked with many issues and have worked in the past as a teacher, social worker, with children, in mental health and in the NHS. I am BACP accredited and qualified in a variety of approaches eg Gestalt, Psychosynthesis, EFT, Solution Focused Therapy, Mediation and I now work in my own way that combines the approaches for what we need. I am also a qualified Family Therapist and Couples Counsellor.I can work one to one with you or as a couple in the short or long term. I also have specialist experience of working with CFS/ME (including Reverse Therapy) if this is what you bring.If you are drawn to other ways of working we can also work together through Shamanic work or Healing but this is separate from my Counselling work.Once we start together I won’t just sit back but will be very much with you in helping you to deal with whatever is there so that you can create the life and relationships you need. I offer support by email and phone between sessions.What I suggest is you contact me and we arrange to talk on the phone so you can get a sense if I am the right person for you.
